Ethiopic Song of Songs
The Ethiopic book of Daniel has many more elements in it than appear in the Hebrew Bible. The first chapter is the story of Susanna. Chapter two of the Ethiopic book is where the Western book of Daniel begins. In chapter three, there is a large plus that contains the long Song of the Three Hebrew Children. Finally, the last chapter of the Ethiopic book of Daniel is the book of Bel and the Dragon. Further, chapter 11 of the book of Daniel has two very different versions, a long version and a short version. All manuscripts before the 17th century had the short version. During the 17th century, two slightly different attempts were made to fill in the lacunae of the the older text.
